Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Pomaderris kumeraho
First "pop" for spring. Was watching for a few days to see when the first flower would burst and it did so on a rather gloomy morning after rain the prior night. (Auckland, 16Sep2015)
