Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Metrosideros perforata
For several weeks this rata surrounding our letter box has been a magnet for both monarch butterflies and bumble bees. When I took this photo I was able to count up to 7 monarchs at a time.
