It is preferable to propagate plants by seeds rather than cuttings or by division. This ensures maximum genetic diversity is maintained.

Chionochloa rubra subsp occulata
Height: 1.3m;  Spread: 1.5m
Grass
This is similar to C. rubra apart from the flowers. However it does grow very well in warmer climates and does do well in the wet. Wispy light brown leaves forming dense clumps with delicate flower heads amongst the top of the foliage.
