Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.
Parsonsia heterophylla
Height: 5m;  Spread: 2m
Kaihua (Vine)
Lightly fragrant small cream flowers (spring-summer). Juvenile foliage markedly different to the mature adult foliage.

Native Jasmine Flowers at last!
Growing from strength to strength, and flowering continuously since October last year. This spray of flowers particularly pretty I thought.
Planted in Napier about 2003.
Yummy honey flavoured & helpful for our butterflies. Thanks very much, Oratia Natives.
Summer blooms are being enjoyed by bees and butterflies on our very happy climber.
