Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.
Baumea arthrophylla
Height: 1m;  Spread: 10m
Sedge & Rush-like
This sedge is similar to Baumea rubiginosa but differing in the flower head and its nuts. It is uncommon in Auckland but can be used in any wetland that does not dry out.
