Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Height: 0.3m;  Spread: 0.4m
Fern
A coastal fern. Lush green prefers dry dappled shade. An excellent pot plant.

This 6year old obtusatum grows in a terracotta pot by the fishpond. It gets the morning sun and I water it sparingly in the summer.
