A very attractive rare daisy from Akaroa. Large dark green smooth leaves with large white daisy flowers. Clump forming. Difficult to grow and limited in avaliability.

Generally i have found celmisias hard to keep alive for very long. I found though my mackaui planted in a south facing shady situation in my alpine garden has grown very well though it has yet to flower.A well drained gritty compost enriched medium seems to work best.
