Summer planting
 |
| Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth. |

Tall open flowering spike. Broad Toetoe-like foliage. Sun or light shade and dry to moist soils. Only 2 populations are known within the Waitakere Ranges. This is from a gorge inland from Whatipu.
