Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

A difficult subject for photographers, but a striking plant when grown in groups. They form upright columnar forms to 5 metres and can be kept clipped for a tight dense foliage. Try topiary on them and clip to interesting shapes.
