Attractive open form in exposed sites. Female plant bears bright orange fruit (autumn). Difficult in cultivation.

I found initially my specimen took nearly 2 years to show any signs of new growth but now it has really started to come away. A plant that needs patience with and i found a south facing semi shaded spot in a good alpine garden mix seems to suit it best.
