Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Classic single stem with round head. Clusters of scented flowers (spring). Purple foliage.

Was told this was a mountain cabbage tree, it has bronze leaves and purply-pink sprays of flowers. In my garden in Waitakere.
