Planting tip
Soak the rootball of your plant in a bucket of water to wet thoroughly prior to planting. For extra goodness, add a bit of liquid fertiliser.

Mapere - Common cutty grass. (Sedge & Rush-like)
Large fine-leaved forest tussock. Easy to grow once established. Foliage very cutting.

With incredibly sensitive roots (sometimes I think they don't even like being looked at !! )I cut the bottom only off the black bag and plant with the edge still on. Later, once established, I remove the edge.
