Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.
Hebe elliptica
Height: 2m;  Spread: 2m
Shrub
A compact but slow growing Hebe with white/blue flowers in the early summer. It is an excellent coastal plant needing an exposed, windy site.
