Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.
Hebe macrocalyx var. humilis
Height: 0.3m;  Spread: 0.5m
Shrub
An alpine species from Nelson/Marlborough that used to be named H. haastii. This is a compact dark green sprawling Hebe with little white flowers. Easier to grow than most high altitude Hebes.
