Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Shrub
An endangered species found along the cliffs of the West Coast from Kaipara Heads to Ahipara. Attractive mauve flowers and dark glossy green leaves. Difficult to grow in humid areas.
