Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Filmy Fern (Fern)
One of New Zealand's characteristic filmy ferns that grow primarily on tree trunks, rocks or rotten logs. Excellent species for a hanging basket if kept cool and moist.
