Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Hi Kay. Are you sure this is M. melchior? We think it looks very like M. psittacorum or peltatum. M. Melchior normally has a crinkled or bullate leaf. The nzpcn.org.nz website is a good source of information.
