Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

The regularly-spaced pustules on the upper surface of the fronds indicate where the sporangia are found on the lower surface.
Creeping along the ground, the back-lit fronds display their sporangia.
Creeping up a tree, the top of the fronds display the pustules.
Sterile fronds without pustules.
