Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.
Polytrichum commune
Height: 0.1m;  Spread: 0.2m
Moss (Moss)
A hardy moss that will 'shrink' in dry conditions to recover with cool moisture. It does prefer sheltered bush conditions where it gets some protection.
