Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

NZ Spinach (Herb)
A coastal species that grows rapidly and spreads over 2 metres or more. The foliage can be used as a vegetable as a substitute for spinach. Seed enclosed in red fleshy fruit.
