Summer planting
Contrary to popular opinion, summer planting is fine as long as adequate water is provided throughout any prolonged dry periods. This allows you to take advantage of increased summer growth.

Winika cunninghamii
Another name change - this lovely orchid has reverted to its earlier name of Dendrobium cunninghamii. This was flowering in mid-January in the bush high above Piha in West Auckland.
