This Nae nae / Nei nei is lying on its side and these are it's branches.
It is at the top of Wairere falls .
Nei nei is used by traditional Maori as a tokotoko for a woman, this is a talking or walking stick. Grows best in higher altitudes.
Neinei growing in the Waipoua Kauri Forest, Far North.
Neinei - Home Track, Piha. Always nice to find these in kauri forest.
