Large, light green leaves and prickles on stem. Has large yellow flowers . From the Far North coast. Frost tender.

NZ Hibiscus in full bloom in late-morning (late-Feb2013). I'm pretty sure I've managed to snap two of the many NZNative Bees that were enjoying the blooms as well. From other close up photos of them and their behaviour they certainly seemed very beeezy!
