Planting tip
Soak the rootball of your plant in a bucket of water to wet thoroughly prior to planting. For extra goodness, add a bit of liquid fertiliser.

Cardiomanes reniforme

Poor kidney fern. Those pesky botanists have given it another name change - Cardiomanes reniforme. Variously known as Trichomanes reniforme and Hymenophyllum nephrophyllum, it seems to be one of those plants that is always being reclassified.

When they split open to reveal the seeds, the pods of Carmichaelia produce a very sculptured effect.
